Introduction to Meditation: Developing a Personal Meditation Practice

With Jennifer Newcomb

This series is for anyone who is curious about meditation, and either a complete beginner or in the early stages of developing a practice. Students will learn the fundamentals of developing a personal meditation practice, including techniques to establish concentration and mindfulness. Each session will offer instructions to guide students into the meditative process, opportunities for Q&A, as well as time to sit and practice in silence. Students will be encouraged to develop a home practice, both during and after the series.

Jennifer Newcomb, E-RYT 500, teaches yoga and meditation throughout Marin County. She has practiced and studied meditation for several years, and seeks to share with her students the practical benefits it can bring to their lives. She helps students to develop simple and effective techniques that make meditation easily accessible to anyone. Jennifer offers her own experience coupled with a dose of gentle humor as she guides students to take the first steps toward seeing things as they really are, learning to listen to and follow their inner wisdom, and living life from a place of clarity, joy, and balance.
