Deepen Your Meditation Practice

with Amanda Gilbert

There is richness and intricacy that begins to develop in meditation after a basic meditation practice is established.  After we learn to bring our attention to a single object of focus and form stability within our meditation experience, natural next steps arise: How do I work with my thoughts in meditation? What types of techniques can I use to navigate difficult thoughts or emotions? Can I move beyond a basic focused attention meditation practice? How can I deepen my awareness through meditation?

In this workshop you will learn mindfulness-based tools and techniques to navigate rumination, monkey mind thinking, pleasant and unpleasant emotions, and any chronic discomfort in the body. We will then explore deeper states of consciousness and awareness that can be experienced through a meditation practice, and how to best embody these qualities into our everyday life. 

All levels of prior experience in meditation are welcome, and there is a special returning student rate for practitioners that have attended Foundations in Daily Practice or Meditation Basics with Amanda.
