  • NEW STUDENTS: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts so our team may warmly welcome you to our community and introduce our offerings.

  • DROP-INS are always welcome in any class, you can also pre-register for class online HERE

  • For yoga classes, please bring your own yoga mat. Yoga Mats are available for rental for $5…

  • Many of our yoga classes are suitable for prenatal students; those classes are marked in the class description.

  • LATE POLICY: In an effort not to disrupt other students in meditation, we do not allow late-comers beyond five minutes. Thank you for your understanding and planning ahead.

  • All meditation classes are suitable for beginners!

  • Cushions, chairs, bolsters and blankets are provided for meditation classes ~ please come early to allow yourself time to get checked in and comfortable. We look forward to welcoming you!

Uplifting Vinyasa

A carefully crafted flow of uplifting and energizing yoga sequences (appropriate for beginners and challenging enough for experienced yogis) always set to music and specifically designed to methodically open up the body followed by a cool down with floor poses and ending in Savasana. In every class you can expect a challenging yet accessible flow with safe adjustments focusing on proper alignment, breath work, an inspirational narrative and an impeccably curated playlist. Yoga Flow fuses together the purest essence of a yoga practice with a modern fresh interpretation.

Practice with attention and intention where slow does not mean easy. This Slow Flow Yoga class blends detailed alignment with breath awareness and fluid movement for a balanced practice. Classes typically move through a warm-up and Sun Salutations into strategically sequenced postures, working toward a particular peak pose or targeting a specific body part. Modifications provided help poses become more accessible, while incorporating opportunities for strength and stamina. Slow Flow Yoga is a wonderful practice in discovering one’s personal limitations and learning how to move past those limitations, while creating a reflective pause and the time to go inward.

Yoga from the Heart

Yoga from the Heart is a slow, mindful, heart-centered practice that encourages quieting down, listening in, and connecting deeply. It cultivates mindfulness and presence through the use of breath practice (pranayama), slow movement, and long holds in poses (asana). Come prepared to relax and de-stress. Beginners as well as students of all-levels are welcome.

Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation

This class provides specialized exercises, breathing techniques, meditation and guided imagery to help the student become very relaxed yet aware with replenished energy. Each of us is born with an indestructible center (Atma) that is peaceful, joyful, wise, soulful, luminous and loving. In yoga, it is believed that atma is the "true self.” Yoga Nidra enables us to access and reconnect to our center, our true self, our atma.

Please note that Yoga Nidra is a passive/relaxed form of Yoga and does not involve movement - you will lie on cushions and be in a relaxed seated or reclined position. Beginners and people with physical limitations are welcome!

Another approach to strength, flexibility and body control awaits those who are interested in learning about the original Pilates method. The classical Pilates mat as well as exercises adapted from the apparatus repertoire are featured in Darien’s bi-weekly class. If deep core strength and a more defined body are your goals, this class is for you!

Gentle Yoga

Many of us work hard to keep up with the daily demands of living in this fast paced culture. Gentle yoga classes are intended to provide an opportunity to slow down enough to feel deeply into your body, to connect mindfully with your breath, and ultimately soothe your nervous system. While strengthening and lengthening the body, we will connect movement with breath, and aim to strike a balance between effort and surrender. Classes begin and end with a short meditation. Walk away from your practice feeling more centered, grounded, peaceful, and at ease within your body.

This hatha yoga class is suitable for all levels and ideal for beginners. You will slowly flow through movements connected to the breath, as well as hold poses to create more depth. This class emphasizes adaptive alignment, functional posture patterns for modern life, and deep breath awareness.

Strengthen and Restore

This class utilizes the breath as a tool to connect the mind and body.  Posture and breath will flow together both in movement and stillness.  There will be an emphasis on opening the hips and freeing the spine to bring the body back into balance, increase flexibility and strengthen the core muscles.  This class is appropriate for all levels, as modifications and props will always be offered as needed.  Classes will include pranayama breathwork and simple guided meditation/relaxation, to increase present moment awareness and calm the nervous system.

Guided Meditation for Healing

Class begins November 5th

"Individual consciousness will refine you. Group consciousness will expand you." - Yogi Bhajan

Join us for an hour of tuning in as you are guided on a meditative journey into relaxation and peace. Each class will begin with a brief intro, guided breathing techniques (pranayama) and a gentle warm up preparing the body to receive, which then leads into the meditation. The class will end with a space to share, discuss or answer questions, followed by a closing intention or blessing. Decrease and release: stress, anxiety, fear and limiting beliefs or thought patterns. While activating: Clarity, peace, compassion, and healing integration. These meditations may be done seated, laying down or in a chair. All levels welcome, no experience necessary.

This Vinyasa Flow Yoga class consists of creative flowing sequences, combining movement with the breath, building strength, awareness and openness. Unwind and Restore

Unwind as your breath unites gentle flowing movements with classic yoga poses. As the body and nervous system relax, we will delve into long restorative yoga postures supported by props: bolsters, blankets, and sandbags. Meditations, breathing exercises, and/or mantra will weave through the movements and poses for a deep journey of rejuvenation. Perfect for all levels.
